Kennedy Space Center (KSC) will be closed due to Hurricane Irma on Friday, September 8, 2017, and Monday, September 11, 2017.   KSC will reopen when the storm passes and the Center has been declared safe. 

 

Contractor employees with questions about their attendance requirements should contact their contract management.

NASA Exchange services ? KARS Park I will remain open until noon on Friday, September 8, 2017, to allow customers to remove property from storage.  All other Exchange services will resume operations when the Center reopens.  Please call the KSC duty status line for status on Exchange operations.

Emergency preparedness

*Cover electronic equipment with plastic and elevate, if possible, prior to evacuating the Center.

  • Secure all sensitive material from desks and work areas.
  • Clear food from refrigerators.

The duty status at KSC will be posted throughout the day until Hurricane Irma is no longer a potential threat to KSC.
